APGX-H Active Linear Convection Gauge

APGX-H Active Linear Convection Gauges

Overview

Edwards Linear Convection Vacuum Gauge has a wide measuring range from 1333 to 3 x 10-4 mbar (1000 to 2.3 x 10-4 Torr). The use of convection technology ensures accuracy and sensitivity are maintained to the top of the range.

The gauge is compact and may be mounted in any orientation, simplifying installation where space is limited. The gauge incorporates a setpoint and two LEDs, which indicate setpoint and gauge status.

Technology

The APGX-H uses the constant temperature principle in which the cooling effect of the gas on the filament is overcome by varying the voltage applied, which in turn maintains a constant resistance and keeps the circuit in equilibrium. This voltage is therefore a measure of the pressure in the gauge tube. It should be noted that different gasses have different thermal properties and as such the output of APGX-H is gas dependant.
